Baldur's Gate 2 Review
October 22, 2000

Overall

Baldur's Gate II has been quite an experience for me. I expected nothing less from the company responsible for such games as the original Baldurs Gate. I honestly felt an emotional attachment to many of the NPCs, especially my own party members. Their personalities are so very well fleshed out, I often felt like I was interacting with an actual human being. Baldur's Gate II, at many times, really can give you a sense of accomplishment. After you kill the evil druid terrorizing the town of Trademeet with animals and are known as the "Hero of Trademeet" by the townsfolk, you'll know what I mean. They'll even erect statues of you and your party in the town square! Baldur's Gate II, in my opinion, is one of the finest computer game ever created. It combines action, adventure, drama, betrayal, romance, and all of the other points of an expertly-done novel or Hollywood movie. Bioware has, once again, set the mark by which all other RPGs will henceforth be judged.
