Multiplayer

Multi-player can be experienced via the MSN Gaming Zone, LAN (IPX or TCP/IP), Internet (via TCP/IP), or Modem-to-modem. Such a robust list of options is a welcome change for a time when LAN and Internet are almost exclusively used to the exclusion of other options in today's games. Using my 1Mbit DSL, play over the MSN Gaming Zone was a bit laggy, a problem which I contribute to the Zone itself and not the game. Over the Internet playing with my friend, not a bit of lag was experienced on my end, though loading times seemed a bit long. All in all, multiplayer is extremely entertaining, as flying a mission with a friend or even a stranger on the Zone, and then turning on him and shooting him down, is great fun.
