Crimson Skies Review

Graphics

The graphics of Crimson Skies are appropriately smooth and clean. With support for Microsoft Direct3D, you can expect your typical 3D-Accelerated goodness. Planes explode in a flash of light as rockets leave smoke-trails, heading towards their next targets. Your wings will vent ignited fuel and smoke as you skim a bit too close to that cave you're flying through. The planes themselves animate very fluidly, seamlessly converting from straight, controlled flight to an uncontrolled, spinning nose dive. The textures could be a bit more detailed, however; this is most evident in the repeatedly-used water textures.
