Diablo II Review
Sunday, August 20, 2000

Storyline

The hero who defeated Diablo in the original game made the ultimate
sacrifice; he willingly used his own body as a prison for Diablo's
disembodied spirit. Ever since, he has been constantly tormented and
haunted, and ultimately he was taken over by Diablo. He is on a quest to
free his brothers, Baal and Mephisto, from their prisons. It's your job to
stop him.

The game is propelled by quests, six in each act. The quests range from
finding items, to defeating a very powerful monster. You will usually be
rewarded for completing a quest, either with an item, a skill point, or
something else.

The quests don't get boring, because there's always bunches of monsters to
kill along the way. Diablo II's storyline is deep and well though-out, and
will keep you going just because you want to see what happens next.
